Dark Peak Design was founded by Lauren Shearer and is known for its bold and  innovative approach to functional sculpture. Specialising in homeware that combines  utility with artistic expression, Dark Peak Design uses Jesmonite and copper to  create vivid one-of-a-kind pieces. Every work is designed with a meticulous attention to  detail, from the vibrancy of the colours to the structural integrity of the materials. Jesmonite, a versatile and durable material, allows Lauren to experiment, while copper adds an industrial sculptural element to certain pieces. Every piece is handmade  and individual. Made with either a splatter, swirling marble or terrazzo effect, no two are  exactly the same. 

Dark Peak Design began when Lauren sought out unique, handmade homeware but  couldn't find pieces that reflected her personal style – bright, bold and unconventional. Determined to fill this gap, Lauren started creating her own home decor. What started  out as a personal endeavour quickly grew into becoming Dark Peak Design.  

At the heart of the Dark Peak Design aesthetic is a passion for maximalism. In contrast  to the subdued palates of minimalism, maximalism embraces excess, colour and  eclecticism. Lauren draws from this philosophy to create pieces that celebrate  individuality and make a statement in any space. Through Dark Peak Design, Lauren  aims to inspire people to reimagine their living spaces, and turn everyday homeware  into artistic focal points. She blends art with practicality and offers a fresh alternative to  mass-produced, conventional items.
